July 4th came and went

There were fireworks the day after the 4th outside of my job. I didn't get to see any in front of my apartment. I probably would have been too distracted to see it. I made sure my time over the fourth was spent filled with activities. Things to take my mind off of the mind-numbing routine that is my life.

Of which lately I've been getting in late, leaving early. And generally taking my time with just about everything. Kinda like these band of musicians (I guess you could call them that) banging on their drums and bongos in between Hyde and Larkin. They are usually in front of the hotel where a lot of skeevy people live. Including some speed heads and trannys. It's weird. If the drummers, there's usually three of them, although sometimes there's just one, sorry, if the drummers are not in front of the hotel on post street, then they're across the street near Mecklin street. You may remember that particular street from a somewhat recent Chronicle article describing a huge gate they put up there because the "neighbors" were tired of prostitution and chronic drug use (heroin and speed).

The Chronicle article was written by Gerald Adams, someone who I once had to pick up books from at his Telegraph Hill condo. He did have a lot of books, and I remember being such a tool at that job. Kinda like what I'm doing now. So in other words, I better be out soon.
